Enhancement of Document Imaging & OCR
- New document Imaging filter Form Dropout.
- Speed improvement of the Punch Hole Removal document imaging filter (between 50% and 500% faster).
- Faster PDF/OCR engine, and more accurate with poor quality documents.
- Battery of bug fixes, especially for the OCR engine.

Hi guys!
GdPicture.NET version 8.4 is now live and we added some exciting features: in the Viewer you will find a new Magnifier tool

Properties related to the Magnifier Tool in the GdViewer class are:
- MagnifierWidth
- MagnifierHeight
- MagnifierZoomX
- MagnifierZoomY
The other features included in GdPicture.NET 8.4 are:
- Full Unicode support for text writing in PDF with many font scheme support such as Open type and post script: .fon, .fnt, .ttf, .ttc, .fot, .otf, .mmm, .pfb, .pfm.
- New featured C# demo application for Image processing with undo/redo features.
- Improvement of the Toolkit stability, especially for the OCR and the barcode recognition engines.

Hello guys, Good news!
GdPicture.NET version 8.3 is now published and includes a new barcode recognition engine, and we know some of you were waiting for it:
GdPicture QR-Code Barcode Recognition Plugin for GdPicture.NET!
As usual it’s fast, accurate and easy to use, works in 32 bit & 64 bit version and with any Windows operating system from Windows 2000 to Windows 7. It’s also thread-safe and of course royalty-free.
Specific functionalities are:
- Detects QR-Code in more than 90 different image formats, including PDF.
- Detects multiple QR-Code barcodes from black & white, grayscale, palletized and color images.
- Returns the string value of each QR-Code barcode recognized.
- Returns the bounding box of each QR-Code barcode. -> top-left, top-right, bottom-left & bottom-right points.
- Returns the confidence of each QR-Code barcode.
- Returns the version of each QR-Code barcode.
- Detects QR-Code barcode on a full page or on a region of interest.
- Support for ECC error correction algorithm to recognize partially destroyed symbols.

We’re happy to announce two new releases: GdPicture.NET 7.4 and our last plugin, GdPicture Form Processing-OMR and Template Recognition.
What’s new in GdPicture.NET 7.4?

GdPicture Forms Processing Plugin Overview:
Template Recognition can help to align area to be processed by filters, OMR, OCR or barcode recognition. For example, if several documents are scanned of the same form, and the scanning orientation or quality is not guaranteed, the GdPicture Anchoring System can be used to specify the orientation of each document and the translation made to each document from the one where the user selected their Areas (surrounding rectangles).
Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) helps to detect the content of a checkbox, fill-in-area , multiple choice examination form, or any area where highlighting is required to indicate a certain choice.

GdPicture is proud to introduce the new Punch Hole Removal Filter! It’s fast and accurate and we hope that you will enjoy it.
What else is inside?
Some of the major improvements are:

We just published a medium upgrade of our new GdPicture.NET 7 Edition. We recommend to migrate to this version.
