We inform you that we will stop selling our suite of GDPicture ActiveX SDKs and plugins starting on February 1st 2012.

What are the products concerned?

GdPicture ActiveX SDKs:

  • GdPicture Pro Imaging SDK,
  • GdPicture Light Imaging Toolkit,
  • GdViewer OCX,
  • GdViewer Pro ActiveX,
  • GdImageBox Pro ActiveX,
  • GdImageBox OCX,
  • GdTwain ActiveX,
  • GdTwain Pro SDK.

Why do we stop selling our ActiveX line of products?

GdPicture.NET 8 now includes an ActiveX version which contains 100% of the ActiveX features and a lot more!

We recommend to V5 users to migrate to GdPicture.NET 8, the migration is easy!

I have a GdPicture ActiveX license: how can I upgrade to GdPicture.NET 8?

If you bought your ActiveX license after July 1st 2011, we give you a coupon worth 80% of the price paid to buy a .NET license.

For other cases, a coupon worth 50% of the price paid for the ActiveX license will be provided.

The GdPicture team is proud to announce the release of a new Plugin for the GdPicture Imaging suite: “GdPicture DataMatrix Barcode Recognition Plugin”.

GdPicture DataMatrix Barcode Recognition Plugin adds features to recognize & decode 2D DataMatrix barcode from more than 90 document formats such as TIFF, JPEG, JPEG-2000, metafile and PDF.

The Plugin can be used within applications based on any GdPicture SDK. Available in ActiveX & .NET editions, GdPicture DataMatrix Barcode Recognition Plugin is fast, accurate, easy to use and royalty free.

The DataMatrix Barcode Recognition Plugin has been integrated to the very complete GdPicture’s range of products on May 2010.

GdPicture DataMatrix Barcode Recognition Plugin is able to read  bi-dimensional DataMatrix barcode  in a region of interest or on a whole page and detects barcode in any orientation (0° to 360°). It detects and returns rows count, columns count and bounding box of each decoded barcode.  The barcode reader also supports ECC error correction algorithm to recognize partially destroyed symbols.

GdPicture DataMatrix Barcode Recognition Plugin is royalty free, no extra license is needed to distribute applications on server or on desktop.

This DataMatrix  Barcode Recognition Engine, licensed from from 599.00 $(U.S.), can be evaluated for free during one month from the GdPicture website. All future 1.X versions upgrade are free.

Full support for Unicode File Paths in GdPicture SDKs

We are proud to announce that Unicode file paths are now 100% supported in all GdPicture SDKs.

Our latest upgrades allow for any character to be entered in document name & path for loading, displaying & saving.

To know if your GdPicture SDK supports Unicode for file paths, check you are using one of the following edition:

- GdPicture.NET (any edition) Ver. 6.5.0 or any later version.
- GdPicture Pro Imaging SDK Ver. 5.12.4  or any later version.
- GdPicture Light Imaging Toolkit Ver. 4.12.4 or any later version.
- GdTwain Pro SDK Ver. 2.7.4  or any later version.
- GdViewer Pro ActiveX Ver. 4.12.4 or any later version.
- GdTwain ActiveX Ver. 2.7.4 or any later version.
- GdViewer OCX Ver. 4.12.4 or any later version.
