| | I have two win98SE stations that will not register the gdviewer.ocx file. Seems fine on XP and other 98 systems.
I get "LoadLibrary Failed GetLastError returns 0x00000485"

You probably need to copy the oleaut32.dll into the system32 directory. You can get this dll here: http://gdpicture.com/ressources/redist/optional/win98/

I tried putting this file in \windows\system32 but it still did not let me register the control.
There is an older version of this file in \windows\system. I rebooted to the command prompt and renamed this file and put the new version down instead. The system did not fully boot so I undid this change.
The older version is dated 11-15-04 and is 908KB

I got it working. I needed to copy GDIPLUS and MSVBM60 into the system32 folder. This allowed me to register the control.
