I need to be able to select a section of an image and then be able to zoom it, rotate it, print it and save it. Can this be done with gdViewer?

Zoom Yes - did you mean Crop? then GDPicturePro
Print Yes
Rotate Yes (90 degree steps) - free rotation in GDPicturePro
Save No - GDPicturePro Yes and much more

To be honnest its well worth going GDPicturePro as you want to do image manipulation and youll find a host of other functions you never thought you would use! like I did
