PDF Print Speed

Currently, I am still using 6.7.0.9. While using the Viewer object to load and print a PDF, the print time is slow and end users complain.

The idea is to pick up a PDF from a folder and send to the printer and a server side folder on their behalf.

I have written in an option to print with Adobe and the print speed is quite different. Controlling Adobe reader (different versions) provides its own issues and I would prefer to print with GDPicture.

I cannot find any information within the 8.x version to determine whether or not printing a PDF has significantly been improved as it relates to speed.

Can you advise?

Hello Bill,

PDF printing speed have been increased between 10% and 50% and generating smaller spools from V6 to V8.
I think the best way for you is to make a try.

Kind regards,
