Just wondered how easy/hard it would be to impliment 2d barcodes (datamatrix) ?

Hi Steve. I think it is more hard than easy

Unfortunately we have no plans to introduce that kind of barcode for now. Our roadmap is already full for the next 12 months.

PDF417 & QR code should follow at the end of 2010 and Q1 2011. We first have to check customers feedback on our DataMatrix implementation...

Looks like the 2D Barcode reading functionality has been implemented and then some.

Was wondering if there were any plans to implement the creation of a 2D barcode from GDPicture?

This feature will be included in GdPicture.NET next year.
I'm not sure yet about GdPciture ActiveX. It depends if we will be able to write it in portable c or not...

It sounds like there has been progress on the 2D matrix features in the DotNET product (post11236.html#p11236). Any word on whether we'll see this added to the ActiveX based product? Thanks!
