I saw that if I would buy a GdPicture.NET Document Imaging SDK there are "Free upgrades for all GdPicture.NET 6.x editions".
Could you tell me when you will switch from 6.x to 7.x editions?
Is this in a yearly base?

GdPicture.NET 7.0 should be released between 8 & 12 months.

We do not offer yearly base but upgrades from GdPicture V6 to GdPicture V7 will be free for recent customers. For others, a small charge will be required for update.

I only bought V6 in July!
How would you define 'recent customers' ?.I.E Is that people who bought v6 a month or so before V7 is released ?.

The reason im asking is that i bought GDpicture V5 in November 2008 then V6 came out Jan 2009 and i had to pay for an upgrade to V6.

Of course, the upgrade from v7 to v8 will be less expensive than v5 to v6.
We have not yet definition of what a "recent customer" is but we will try to continue to provide honest price for all.
IE: if we have a customer owning v5 & v6 we will offer the v7 for a tiny participation
Also, we will release soon a king of annual subscription allowing our customers to use all our software for free.

On this forum you told me that for recent customers will be for free and in case the upgrade will be with a small participation.
Can you tell what does this means on my case if I want to upgrade ?

Is it also true that the 6.x version will not get new bug fixes ?

You know I'm using this on our company for a small tool to manage our documents that we scan (2-3 people using the end tool), and the initial costs have been quite high, therefore I really have to look to not spend to much

We have purchased GdPicture V.5 long time ago, then upgraded to V.6 in SEP 2010, can I have the free upgrade to V.7?

If no, the version using now is V.6.7.0.3 and the bugs not fixed affect our development, can we got the most updated release of V.6 then?

Since I use GdPicture for many application development, I need to test one by one before all upgrade from V.6 to V.7

After I am testing the V.7 using V.7's key, is the V.6 key still valid? As I cannot stop all development tasks using V.6 while testing V.7 before all upgrades are done.

Please advise. Thanks.
