Problem with Fujitsu Scanner

Post by nsk88 » Thu May 13, 2010 10:30 am

In Fujitsu scanner, i noticed there are 3 options in Black & White image mode. Those options are Static Threshold, SDTC mode and Advanced DTC (Attached with picture)

Each of the option provide different result and has its own setting.

Static Threshold - Brightness, Threshold and Contrast are allowed to change

SDTC mode - Only Brightness and Contrast are allowed to change. Threshold is disabled

Advanced DTC - Only Threshold are allowed to change. Brightness and Contrast is disabled

Is it possible to control which option to use for Twain acquisition? Please advise.

Hi,

Unfortunately this feature is not defined in TWAIN specification.

What you can do is to contact the scanner provider to ask which capability ID they are using to control this feature. Then, you will be able to manage it through the TwainSetCapCurrentNumeric method.

With best regards,

nsk88, did you ever figure this out by Fujitsu? I'm hoping there is a custom capability value that will set the BW mode. Please let me know if you figured it out.

Thanks!!!!
