Memory Leak with 1D barcode scanning

Post by alpha1 » Thu Feb 23, 2012 12:06 pm

Hi,

Is there any known issue here about memory leaks on reading 1D barcodes using GDPicture? We are using the latest release.
We have experienced growing unmanaged memory everytime we do a scan with the documents. We did some memory profiling and it shows some heap allocations during barcode reading that were not released causing the memory to grow everytime an image is scanned.
We used the clean up functions provided by GDPicture like Barcode1DReaderClear(), ClearGdPicture(), and ReleaseGdPictureImage() but the memory is still growing each time a image is scanned.

Thanks.

Hello,

We have no known memoryleak with the scanner of the latest release. We also use memory profiler to identify such potential issue.

What you can do is to create a ticket in the helpdesk system, attach an application reproducing the issue and the some image you used during your tests.
See: https://www.gdpicture.com/support/getting-support-from-our-team/Tickets/Submit

Kind regards,

Loïc
