Scanner settings

Hello,

I am building an ASP.NET MVC5 application for scanning and viewing documents.

I noticed a lack of possibility to provide a default settings for selected scanner, e.g. feeder, DPI or duplex. Because of that, every time I acquire image I need to update options in dialog displayed by the TWAIN driver.
I assume that particular settings would vary depending on selected TWAIN device. Since we are displaying our custom dialog for selecting scanner, it would be nice to have functions in your JavaScript API for:

• getting list of available options for selected source,
• setting values of retrieved options.

I reviewed a GdPictureImaging class and it has methods for updating scanner options. Unfortunately there is no possibility to do this through DocuVieware API. Are you planning to implement such functionality in further release?

Hello Igor,

Yes, this is a feature that will actually be part of the next major release, we are currently working on it.
This new feature will allow, for a given source, to set several options such as feeder/flatbed, resolution, bit depth, duplex and if you want the driver dialog to show or not.
