I am using another library to read elevation data from GeoTiff files and it works fine with tiled files but I can't obtain the elevation data from either stripped or scanline-based files especially the ones downloaded from Nasa .

any idea how to do that?

Could you provide more details and perhaps a screenshot of what you are doing so I may assist you further please?
