Thumbnails are Blank
Every now and then in what appears to be a completely random occurrence (about 1 in every 20 views) my thumbnails are blank. The frames are there, the dark-gray background is there, you can click on them and they take you to the correct page but the actual thumbnail image is missing - exactly like s...

How do i copy Thumbnails from one ThumnailEX to another?
I've got a project that displays a complete document along with all pages in an associated ThumbnailEX control. The user is allowed to select specific pages to be output. I'd like to take the Thumbnail from the main thumbnailex control - and copy (create a new one) and add that to a 2nd ThumbnailEx ...

Re: GDViewer loading large documents - complete event
Hi there, Has anyone experience with OCR and scanning.. Or with scanned textsearchable PDF's ? :?: My timing is horrible, Nandy - I don't refer to these forums unless I'm requesting help from one of the devs or other users and once my question(s) are answered I only have a few minutes to see if the...

Requested registry access is not allowed
GDViewer.DisplayFromFile is raising this error: "Requested registry access is not allowed." I've never encountered this before nor do I understand how/where it came from. *Any* assistance would be helpful. This occurs on my DEV machine and on that same machine is a new installer used to te...

Re: GDViewer loading large documents - complete event
hi David, sorry about the delay in my reply - things have been pretty nuts over the last few weeks. I actually figured out what I needed - I was looking in the wrong place. What I really needed was something that told me when THUMBNAILEX was done creating all of ITS objects and there's a nice little...

GDViewer loading large documents - complete event
I work with some pretty large documents (some are in the thousands of pages though most are 20-50 pages) and I was wondering if there was a method (or any other way) to tell me when GDViewer has completed loading its assigned image? If there is not - can there be :) Thanks for the many, many years o...

GdPicturePDF is amazing! How about GdPictureTIFF?
Creating PDF's could not be simpler with this terrific object - GdPicturePDF has made my life go from a burning cauldron to a nice, warm happy place! But...what have you done for me lately?? Just kidding of course! I was curious if there is or will ever (possibly?) be something similar for TIFF file...

Rotating GDPictureImaging object should rotate all child objects relative to the rotation
You take a scanned page and look for barcodes using gdPictureImaging.Barcode1DReaderDoScan You discover there are barcodes on the page and that they are oriented the wrong way (someone must has scanned this page sideways) Easy enough to correct. Check the Skew Angle of the barcode and apply a rotati...

Re: Annotation DoubleClick?
Thank you very much, Cedric. I'm using Annotations to indicate specific locations within an Image to perform Barcode parsing - there are a ton of properties that are specific to the type of Barcode that's expected...so there's a built-in Barcode-Editor to my Viewer control. Right now the only way to...

Re: Annotation Measurement Units
Since Horizontal and VerticalResolution are "Pixels per inch" and Left, Top, Width, Height are all in inches...shouldn't your calculation to convert to pixels look like this: HorizontalResolution = imageViewer.HorizontalResolution VertialResolution = imageViewer.VerticalResolution PixTop =...

GDPicturePDF Memory Leak
I'm VERY certain I'm doing something wrong! The reason I know this is because the memory leak is so severe there's no way it would have gone unnoticed! ANY HELP would be very appreciated! Here's the method: Public Function VoidPDF() As Boolean Dim OldImageID As Integer Dim OldStatus As GdPictureStat...
