Inserting html element between pages

Post by pete » Fri Apr 03, 2015 12:07 pm

Hi everybody,

I'm using ducuvieware to display PDFs. My goal is to make these documents more interactive. I would like to insert html elements between pages (as shown in the attached picture - red box). I would like to display pictures, videos, etc in those "between pages elements". I was able to add elements that fly out at certain pages(or sets of pages [green box]), but i was not able to identify canvas/element ids of each page.

I am inserting green box with simple code:

Code: Select all

$(".showRedBox").appendTo("#viewerContainerDocuVieware1");
How would you recommend of inserting a red box?

Thank you.

Peter

Hello Peter,

Sorry we've overlooked this thread.

Basically we do not offer an api to handle the DOM of the viewer area of the DocuVieware control. Consequently you should not try to modify it. Otherwise this will result on expected behavior such as invalid content positioning and the backward compatibility will not be guaranteed.

The only suggestion I can push is to manage your html elements outside of the internal control elements which must be definitively considered as black boxes.

Please let me know if you need further info.

Cheers,

Loïc

Thank you Loic for the answer.
I am wondering if you have this in your roadmap of the development. If not, I will try to achieve that on my own, but I was wondering.

I believe such a functionality could be very useful for others too. As I said before, my original intention was to be able to insert picture/video galleries in between pages.

Thank you!

Peter
