Hi,
I have been able to code so that when I scan my multi-page documents they are saved as OCR searchable PDF files. It works very well!
The next thing I want the program to be able to do is to check the orientation of the document being scanned. If I am scanning a document that is printed in landscape orientation the OCR feature must rotate in order to recognize the words and characters. Are there code methods available for the TWAIN object to do this?
I tried Twain1.Rotate (Rotate90FlipY) but it didn't do anything.
Thanks,
Steve
Rotating TWAIN PDF documents for OCR
Re: Rotating TWAIN PDF documents for OCR
Hi Steve,
To detect the orientation of the document using the OCR plugin you have just to use the OCRTesseractGetOrientation() method.
To rotate a document to 90degree, please use Rotate(Rotate90FlipNone).
With best regards,
Loïc
