Installing Twain Pro SDK on 64-bit

Post by lac61675 » Thu Feb 18, 2010 6:28 pm

Hello,

I am having a problem with installing and running the GDPicture.Net.dll for Twain aquisition in 32-bit mode on a 64-bit machine. I found this thread in the forums and set my application to compile in X86 mode: viewtopic.php?t=1617 .

When I installed the app on Windows 2008 Server (64 bit) I see that indeed, it went into "Program Files (x86)" folder. However, I am still getting the error: "An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format" when trying to load the GDPicture.Net.dll. Please note I have tried this on a Windows 7 64-bit as well and I am having the same problem.

Any guidance is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Targeting your main app to X86 is the only things to do and it should work. I tried with our vb.net & C# samples without any problem.
Your problem is probably away. IE: application not rebuilt or something like that.
You can send us your source code (if it is not confidential) for investigation at esupport (at) gdpicture (dot) com.

With best regards,

Loïc

I manage to get it to work. I did a full "Clean Solution" on our project files in Visual Studio, then did a "Rebuild All". After that we were able to install.

Thank you for your quick reply!
