OCR Optimisation Tips

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has any tips/recommendations for optimising the OCR recognition process within a GD Picture image, particularly if that image layout occurs more than once in a given document.

Any help would be much appreciated as my results seem to be quite inconsistent at the moment.

Hi,

There is no magic feature to improve OCR quality on any kind of document.

It depends on:

- Resolution
- Kind of document
- Bit depth
- Quality
- Content
- And so many other things...

Some pre-processing filters can increase OCR quality but it depends of the kind of document you are processing... Ony time & tests can help you
