Issue reading PDF from file

Hi, I am using gdpicture.net 7 32 bit edition. I have an issue where a certain PDF file that is very large (over 3000 pages, fast web enabled) with text and images will not load. The application calling gdpicture simply hangs after the call and no exception comes back and control is never returned to the application. Fortunetly it is working fine for many other similar large PDFs. Are there any known issues? I have tried to read the file with both of these methods:

objGDViewer.DisplayFromFile(Me.txtPath.Text)
and
hPDF = oGdPictureImaging.PdfReaderLoadFromFile(Me.txtPath.Text)

Both yield the same result, hung application, no exception or error. The PDF will open without error in every available PDF viewer I have found so far. Unfortunetly, I will be unable to submit the file for review. Thank you for any insight you migt be able to provide.
