WIA_ERROR_OFFLINE Always w/ Feeder

Hi,

I'm attempting to scan from the ADF of a Brother DCP-7040. It works fine from WIA applications.

However, when I try using 8.5 of GdPicture it always fails with WIA_ERROR_OFFLINE.

I can scan from the flatbed, but when I select the feeder (which returns true) it fails.

The sample C# app for WIA scanning exhibits the same exact behavior.

I have to use WIA since this is a 64bit .NET application and Twain will not work for this.

What do you mean by "It works fine from WIA applications" ?

Another customer experienced a similar problem with another device that we should test within a couple of weeks. Maybe the issue is the same.

Hi Loic,

I'm referring to using either the scan interface built-in into windows or calling WiaAcquireWizard().

It seems to be some kind of control issue in GdPicture that is only triggered by calling WiaSelectFeeder(true), because it does work fine with WiaSelectFeeder(false).

Also can you please elaborate on the exact need to distribute the "wiaaut.dll", since on Windows 7 it is already present and is actually a higher version then what comes with GdPicture.

Also where is the correct place to distribute "GdPicture.NET.wia.gateway.dll"?
