Twain Aquisition .tmp files
Twain Aquisition .tmp files
Hi
Using TwainAcquireToGdPictureImage function in 8.5 and 9.0 version
tmpXXX.tmp empty files are created in c:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local\Temp\
after lots of scan (~30000-40000) the scan process became very slow
When manually delete this files, the process go normal speed.
I can do it in the program but it's not very correct to delete hazard files.
Is it possible to automaticaly delete the created files in a next version of the Gdpicture library?
Thanks a lot

Hello,
Could you try the current 9.1? We should have fixed this behavior.

Re: Twain Aquisition .tmp files
Hello there,
Are you sure you've tried the 9.1 ? GetVersion method should returns 9.1.
Basically your scanners seems to impose the file transfer mode despite we request a native xfer mode (DIB transfer in memory). When such transfer is instanced, GdPicture tries to delete the file after the acquisition process. In your case it seems that the driver lock this file to prevent it from deletion. Wed have tested such transfer with 5 different scanners with no issue.
If the problem persists we will need the scanner model & the driver version.
Kind regards,
Loïc

Re: Twain Aquisition .tmp files
I use the 9.1 version
I use several Scanner (Canon DR-X10C, Canon 9080C, Canon P-150) and i have the same probleme.
For DR-X10 I have the 1.8 version drivers
To avoid scanning 30000-50000 docs on each test i have use twainkit to simulate the scanner and probleme exists too.
I can give you a program test to reproduce the problem.
Thanks
Emmanuel

Re: Twain Aquisition .tmp files
Yes I would like a program because I also use the Canon 9080C for testing without any issue...
