Zooming via CTRL + Mousewheel

We would like to imitate the behaviour of other well known document viewers (like Adobe PDF, Microsoft XPS, Microsoft Word, Internet Explorer) where the mouse wheel scrolls the document and where pressing the CTRL key while scrolling zooms the document.
We already have set GdViewer.MosueWheelMode to MouseWheelVerticalScroll which performs the scrolling part but pressing CRTL while scrolling has no effect.
How can we achieve this behaviour?
