Hide document

Is there a way to quickly 'hide' or 'replace' what is being displayed without reloading the viewer?

My requirement is that I need to 'hide' the document being viewed when the application doesn't have focus. Right now I'm changing the opacity but it's ugly. I can't hide the viewer since I drag and drop support.

any ideas?

GdViewer.Clear();
GdViewer.LockControl = true;
