Problem enabling Drag&Drop with Delphi - ViewerDrop property

Post by Slava » Fri Jan 04, 2008 11:43 am

Hi,

I seem to get different errors while trying to enable ViewerDrop property in different ways. (Using Delphi 7)

When i set ViewerDrop to "True" in the development environment, i get a "Run-time error '0'" warning on the line where i set the license to the viewer during runtime. Thereafter a few OLE and Access Violation errors from my application.

If i add the line

Code: Select all

viewer.ViewerDrop := True;
before or after setting license, i get an "Out Of Memory" error on this line.

It works fine if i close and reload containing form while the application keeps running..

i believe i am using the latest version 4.5.0.0 (from properties of the gdpicturepro4.ocx)

Thanks,
Slava

Hi Slava.

I've reproduced this behaviour with Delphi 6 & 7.
Unfortunately, Delphi 6 & 7 seem to doesn't support the drop operations of ActiveX objects.

I don't know if there is an issue to bypass this behaviour with these languages but I add this investigation into my road map. I will report results on this topic if we find something.

Best regards,

Loïc Carrère
