We’re happy to announce two new releases: GdPicture.NET 7.4 and our last plugin, GdPicture Form Processing-OMR and Template Recognition.

What’s new in GdPicture.NET 7.4?

  • Forms Processing features

GdPicture Forms Processing Plugin Overview:

Template Recognition can help to align area to be processed by filters, OMR, OCR or barcode recognition. For example, if several documents are scanned of the same form, and the scanning orientation or quality is not guaranteed, the GdPicture Anchoring System can be used to specify the orientation of each document and the translation made to each document from the one where the user selected their Areas (surrounding rectangles).

Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) helps to detect the content of a checkbox, fill-in-area , multiple choice examination form, or any area where highlighting is required to indicate a certain choice.

  • template recognition (Anchoring Mechanism)
  • enhance OCR zoning accuracy
  • low memory usage

GdPicture is proud to introduce the new Punch Hole Removal Filter! It’s fast and accurate and we hope that you will enjoy it.


What else is inside?

Some of the major improvements are:

  • full JBIG2 single and multiple page reading and writing support.
  • TWAIN functions to better control Auto-Scan feature and retrieve device info.
  • Toolkit is ready for clouding usage.
  • Some speed enhancement in image parsing & rendering.

There are new methods of the GdPictureImaging class including JBIG2, TWAIN, JPEG and more.

In the ThumbnailEx features we added a mouse events control.

Many reported bugs have been fixed.

Hi guys !

GdPicture.NET 7.2 is already out!

What’s inside ?

  • New set of WIA scanning features.
  • Fast adaptive threshold algorithm.
  • New Gaussian filter.
  • New Unsharp Mask filter.
  • Improvement of the barcode recognition accuracy & speed (1D & 2D).
  • New set of features in the Thumbnail control.
  • Some speed improvement in toolkit core.
  • Support for FloodFill algorithm in any bit-depth including Alpha layer support…

And as usual, some reported bugs were fixed and there are lots of new methods of the GdPictureImaging class, as well as new property and methods of the ThumbnailEx class.

GdPicture.NET 7.1 New Release

Hi there !

We just published a medium upgrade of our new GdPicture.NET 7 Edition. We recommend to migrate to this version.

There are some major improvements with the JBIG2 Encoder, PDF loading speed, WIA scanning support… And we added lots of new methods of the GdPictureImaging Class.

Hi there!

This new version has great speed improvement and memory usage optimization and is available as native 32bit version and native 64 bit version.

We added a bunch of PDF features like bookmarks, AES256 encryption, links, barcodes… And it has a brand new GdPicture JBIG2 encoder plugin!

What’s new from GdPicture.NET 6 ? It’s over there.

Upgrading from GdPicture.NET 6

If you’re already a GdPicture customer you can get a free upgrade, if you acquired GdPicture. NET 6 after March 15th 2010. To get the free update, please contact our sales department  here providing a proof of purchase.

Other GdPicture customers will be able to acquire an upgrade for a small price, upgrade paths are available from our generic order page located here.
